Gaming Hiatus

Have any of you guys ever experienced a gaming hiatus before in your life?

I have been experiencing one since August of 2011 with everything except for a few DS games from time to time. I probably might get back into gaming completely when I get a disposable income which probably will not happen for another 4 or 5 years.

I've had dry spells and I actually don't spent that much time a week playing as you'd probably think.  If I'm into a game I'll play the shit out of it but most weeks I'll play as little as an hour or two.  Just depends if I'm in the mood.

Is it strictly a lack of funds that has you taking a break or are you just busy with school and life?  I didn't play a lot of games from 18 - 25 really.  I mean I still got all the big games I wanted each year but it wasn't until around 2006 when I really got into gaming super hardcore and began building my bad ass super collection.

Also...thanks for posting shit in the forum.  :D
And by awesome I mean totally sweet.

No problem. Just want to keep the forums alive.

Also the reason of the gaming hiatus is a combination of both. No disposable income that I can use to buy anything and also because school keeps distracting me from playing games about 99% of the time.

I'll probably get back into games a lot more once I graduate. Mostly because then I can get a job that can let me get an actual nice 50 inch 1080p television along with a surround sound system.

Well brother there's always emulation.  Back when I was super busy and only had about 45 minutes of free time a day I dedicated most days free time to either reading or playing a game.  That's how I beat Wind Waker.  45 minutes a day over the course of a few weeks.  It was nice.
